Mahalia Releases New Song “Ready”
British singer-songwriter Mahalia Burkmar, aka Mahalia will release her sophomore album “IRL” this Friday (July 14th).
It is her first body of work in four years since the 2019 debut album “Love and Compromise”.
The album comprises 13-track, featuring guest appearances from Joyce Wrice, JoJo, Stormzy, Destin Conrad, and Kojey Radical.
Mahalia said of the album, “This is an album about finding my confidence again. In love, life and myself. Believing in myself again. Learning how to depend on myself again!!”
From the album, she has unveiled the final promotional single called “Ready”.
The track was written by Benjamin Stefan Hart, Jordan Reid, Mahalia Rose Burkmar, and Max Pope. Produced by JD. REID and HART.
Mahalia said of the song, “'Ready' is the intro on my album. It is a song that perfectly describes where I was at when I started writing this record. I was partially scared - mostly excited. It's been a long journey to get here but ultimately, I'm proud that I did. I loved this one as soon as I wrote it and I'm genuinely so excited for people to hear it. I'm finally ready for this album to come out and I hope everyone's ready to hear it!”- Also, she shared on social media, “The moment we made this song, I knew it was gonna be the first song on the album.
