Maisie Peters Drops New Music Video for “Run”
British singer-songwriter Maisie Peters has dropped a new music video for “Run” directed by Avesta Keshtmand.
The song is featured on her sophomore album “The Good Witch”.
The track was written by Maisie Peters, Ines Dunn, and Two Inch Punch who also produced it.
Maisie Peters said of the video, “In this video I overcome the clown allegations once and for all - the message here is it’s not too late for u either. I may have been a clown in the past, but now I am a good witch and I know that when he says he wants you in his life forever, you must simply run 😌 Directed by witch angel Avesta Keshtmand.”
She told Apple Music about the song, “I’d had a conversation with another friend where one of us said, ‘Next time a man says I want you in my life forever—and then proceeds to act in the most atrocious way any man has ever acted ever—we’re out.’ I wrote the song ‘Run’ in January/February 2022, just after that conversation, with one of my best friends [songwriter] Ines Dunn. We had that line going. In my own heart, I was no longer sad about it—I was just trying to take the lesson from it. I really tried to get that song right. I kept referencing Britney Spears and ‘If U Seek Amy’. I wanted to do a song like Britney did, or like Gwen Stefani did.”- source : Apple Music
