Yueku Announces New EP “Little Less Noise”, Shares New Song “One Sided” featuring Abby Holliday
American alt-pop singer-songwriter Yueku has announced his sophomore EP “Little Less Noise” will be released on July 28, 2023.
It is his first project in two years since the 2021 debut EP “Catch Me If You Can”.
Yueku shared on social media, “It's been a long time since my last release & I am grateful for anyone who's been listening. Very excited for you to hear these songs that I had a hell of a time making with good people.”
From the EP, he released the second single called “One Sided”, following ”Paradise” released last month.
This time, he teamed up with Nashville-based singer-songwriter Abby Holliday on the track.
The track was written by Christian Koo and Abby Holliday. Produced by Yueku.
Yueku said of the song, “'One Sided' is about being in a relationship where you're putting in all the effort to make it work. Yet with your efforts, you still have the disappointing realization the other person simply doesn't care the same way you do. Abby & I had the idea of comparing it to the writing of a novel. Specifically around the idea of “cliffhanger” endings or stories that make you want more even when you know there's nothing more coming.”- The previous song ”Paradise” was written by Christian Koo, and Jake LeMond. Produced by Hunter West and Yueku.
The accompanying music video was directed by Mathew Pimental.
Yueku said of the song, “It's a simple love song for someone who makes my time here much easier. When life is overwhelming, daunting & bleak, this person makes things feel like a taste of paradise. The track expresses some uncertainty about the afterlife & the religious ideas that can surround it, but with the core message that the time spent together here in the present is enough 'heaven' for me.” - source : Apple Music
