Jim Lockey and The Solemn Sun Releases New Song “Medicine”
British rock band Jim Lockey and The Solemn Sun, consisting of Jim Lockey (guitar/vocals), Andy Oliveri (bass), Simon Cripps (drums) and Chris Capewheel (guitar/vocals), will release their upcoming third studio album “Colour” on July 28, 2023.
It is their first album in 11 years since the 2012 album “Death”.
The album comprises 10-track and focused on prominent occurrences in Jim Lockey's life in the years that have passed since their last record.
Jim Lockey said, “The title 'Colour' suited these songs and my experiences perfectly. For me colour is what defines a life: it controls our moods, changes our perceptions and decides how we experience the world. We're constantly searching for colour in our lives, and immediately feel its absence.”- Fpn0r98jp6I

From the album, the band the second single called “Medicine” along with a music video on June 16, 2023, following “Reno”.
The track was written by Jim Lockey, and produced by James Bragg. The accompanying video was directed by Harry Steel.
Jim Lockey said of the song, “Medicine' is an admission of feeling powerless; trying to gain perspective of where things went wrong but also understanding there's little I can do to stop what's on the horizon. Sometimes the things you work hardest at are the things you're most likely to lose. 'You and I will never know why, we had it all and let it go'”-
