Andy Grammer Announces New Album “Behind My Smile”, Shares New Song “Love Is The New Money”
American singer-songwriter Andy Grammer announced his fifth studio album “Behind My Smile” would be released on June 23, 2023.
It is his first album in four years since the 2019 album “Naive”.
Andy Grammer said of the album, “Something about all the isolation during the pandemic cracked me open. I realized I had a carefully curated image of myself that wasn't always grounded in the truth. Someone I worked with once described me as “32 flavors of happy”. I used to think it was a compliment, but now I think it's describing someone who needs work on being vulnerable. The music I write is intimately connected with what I'm personally going through. And for this section of my life, my songs, my focus was about going Behind My Smile. If it any way helps you connect behind yours, that would make me happy.”
From the album, he unveiled a new song “Love Is The New Money” along with a music video on May 5, 2023.
The track was written by Andrew Grammer, Jon Levine, Sean Douglass, and Midi Jones. Produced by Jon Levine.
The accompanying video was directed by Cooper Davidson.
