American singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson released two new songs “mine” and “me” on April 14, 2023.
The songs will appear on her upcoming tenth studio album “Chemistry”, which is set to be released on June 23, 2023.
“mine” was written by Erick Serna, Jesse Shatkin, and Kelly Clarkson. Produced by Erick Serna, Jason Halbert, and Jesse Shatkin.
“me” was written by GAYLE, Josh Ronen, and Kelly Clarkson. Produced by Jason Halbert, and Jesse Shatkin.
The new album comprises 14-track, featuring guest appearances from Sheila E. and Steve Martin.
It is her first album since the 2021 “When Christmas Comes Around...”.
Kelly Clarkson said of the album, “It's called chemistry because I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing 'cause I didn't want everybody to think that I was just coming out with some just like, 'I'm angry. I'm sad,' just one or two emotions.”- She continued, “This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn't be just brought down to one thing. So there's the good, the bad, the ugly thing kinda going on in it.”
She added, “Chemistry can be a really amazing sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you. I thought it was kinda the perfect title to describe the entire album.” - source : Spotify
