Blondshell Premieres New Song “Salad” on BBC Radio 1, Performs on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Los Angeles-based indie rock singer-songwriter Sabrina Teitelbaum, aka Blondshell premiered a new song “Salad” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the sixth single off of her upcoming self-titled debut album, which is out this Friday (April 7th).
The track was written by Sabrina Teitelbaum and produced by Yves Rothman.
Blondshell told Clara Amfo about the song, “I am so excited that my album is finally coming out. 'Salad' is one of my favorites on the album. I'm really looking forward to coming to the UK in the spring and playing all of this music live for you. I'm excited to share the project.”
After BBC Radio 1, she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform the song. This marks her musical guest debut on TV.
The debut album comprises 9-track, produced by Yves Rothman.
“It's hard to summarise what this album means to me,” Blondshell said of the album. “I was able to work through so much by writing and singing these songs. In a way I was also able to find my voice by finally saying these things out loud. I wasn't intending to write an album as much as I was just trying to get relief from an intense and difficult time in my life. My biggest hope is that people can see the album for what it is: there's no happy ending or 'message,'' it's just a window into what it's like when you're trying to figure out who you are and what you want.”
