Stephanie Poetri, Elephante & ZHANG YANQI Team Up for New Song “No Explanations”
Indonesian singer-songwriter Stephanie Poetri, Los Angeles-based DJ Elephante and Chinese singer ZHANG YANQI teamed up to release a new song “No Explanations” on March 31, 2023.
This marks the first time Elephante, Stephanie Poetri and ZHANG YANQI have worked together.
The track was written by Stephanie Poetri and produced by Elephante and 88rising.
Stephanie Poetri said, “'No Explanations' is a fun, summery, disco song! We wrote it about how much I love someone – so much that I don't need to actually say I love them, because the way I feel and behave already shows that.”
Elephante said, “No Explanations is a song about first love - that giddy, unapologetic feeling of falling for someone, and hoping that they're doing the same for you. It's a feel good, synthy BOP - it was a lot of fun working on something outside my normal comfort zone, and a blast putting the song together with Steph and Zhang.”
