KID BE KID Releases New Song “News Feed”
Berlin-based singer-songwriter and producer KID BE KID released the second single called “News Feed” from her upcoming second studio album “Truly A Life Goal But No Ice Cream” on March 17, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “Naked Times”, which was released last month.
The track was written and produced by KID BE KID.
KID BE KID said of the song, “News Feed is a self-deprecating summary of how addicted we are to those mean little screens. Instead of this senseless consumption of information, we should rather swing our hips and dance. That's exactly why News Feed has a positive vibe.”
The new album comprises 10-track and is set to be released on June 9, 2023 via Fun In The Church.
It is her first album in six years since the 2017 debut album “Sold Out”.- KID BE KID shared on social media, “Who hasn't experienced this? You stare at your mobile phone for thirty minutes, finally turn it off and think to yourself: "'I'm checking the news feed, and nothing is better than before. The opposite of what I do need but just after a second I wanna get more.' So you pick it up again. And at the end of your life you think like this: What did I do that was so great? Ah yes! Staring at my mobile phone! News Feed is a self-deprecating summary of how addicted we are to those mean little screens. Instead of this senseless consumption of information, we should rather swing our hips and dance. That's exactly why News Feed has a positive vibe. And for production nerds: I recorded the synth melodies, the basslines and piano analogue, the beat is a hybrid of beatboxed unquantised high hats and programmed snare and bass drum and of course not to forget the topping: the vocals. There is also a short beatboxing solo that gives a taste of the live show that can be experienced on the upcoming tour.”
