Courtney Govan Releases New Song “at least”
American queer alt-pop singer-songwriter Courtney Govan released a new song “at least” on February 17, 2023.
The song is a heartfelt, strikingly earnest, and melancholic ballad about an unexpected friendship breakup.
It was written by Courtney Govan, Jules Brave and Ryan Nealon, and produced by Pascal Pahl.
The track reflects on the unexpected loss of her closest friend, who ended their eight-year relationship without warning via text.
“at least” reminds us a gentle and humane that, when the long arc of memory runs its intended course, our disappointments can blossom into experiences of growth.
Courtney Govan shared on social media, “I'm sorry if this hurts u, it hurt me too. this has been the hardest song to give to u angels but I know I can trust u, I love you sm. thanks for writing this one with me Jules Brave, Ryan Nealon , I love you so big produced by Pascal Pahl.”
- Also, she shared her ex-friend's photo as ghost, “using this audio to get rid of my ghost. this is my closure. This song, this post, the joy I have in my life. for the moments & pictures that used to be my favorite but are now nothing.”
