Toronto-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Mia Baron released the first single of 2023 called “Normal Again” on January 23, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “Rebel Without a Cause”, which was released last October.
The track was written by Mia Baron.
“It may sound simple, but it's not easy to cut out those toxic behaviours in your life even when you know it's what you need to do. I was getting panic attacks and feeling anxiety every day, and all I wanted to do was feel normal again, Mia Baron said of the song. I'm still going through it, but now I can say that it's okay not to feel normal. People change and our mental health is not always flawless - we have to realise that this is normal and we just have to learn to cope with things and adapt to a new normal.”
She continued, “I felt lost after making big changes in my life. I missed being able to feel confident in knowing myself, so I craved feeling normal again. But changes can also lead to good things, and we have to learn to embrace them.
