Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform “Hospital”.
This time, she played the song with American singer-songwriter Remi Wolf.
The song is featured on her third studio album “Revealer”, which was released last September.
“This song was kind of like a hodgepodge of all of these lyrics that were on my iPhone notes,” Madison Cunningham said of the song. “I don't know necessarily how this thought would have led to this thought, but it did. I guess it's like, when you open yourself up to the process or to just sit and be still and wait, I think sometimes those things will land in your lap.”
She continued, “Hospital is written from this sort of half awake, slightly drunken, on the cusp of a nervous breakdown perspective. I think ultimately it speaks to the impossible condition of being sedated with information and trying to hold onto your sanity.”
The album “Revealer” received the 65th Annual Grammy Awards nomination for Best Folk Album.
The ceremony will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, 2023.- source : CBS
