Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ King Canyon Releases New Song “Ice & Fire” featuring Son Little
American supergroup King Canyon, consisting of Eric Krasno (guitar), Otis McDonald (producer) and Mike Chiavaro (bass), released a new song “Ice & Fire” on December 2, 2022.
This time, the band teamed up with American R&B singer-songwriter Son Little on the track.
The song will appear on their upcoming self-titled debut album, which is due out in early 2023.
The track was written by Eric Krasno, Otis McDonald, Mike Chiavaro and Son Little.
Eric Krasno said of the song, “Son Little and I met a few years back at a festival. We had a lot of mutual respect for each other's music and decided to start writing together. We instantly became tight as friends and frequent collaborators. Ice & Fire is a perfect mixture of the sounds of Son Little & King Canyon. Son's lyrical imagery blends with the KC's soundscape creating a unique and soulful sound.”- King Canyon was formed in 2020 by two-time GRAMMY winning guitarist Eric Krasno, producer/multi-instrumentalist Otis McDonald and Brooklyn-based electric and upright bass player Mike Chiavaro.
In April 2020 in the midst of quarantine, Eric Krasno came across Otis McDonald's music on Instagram and immediately became a fan. Months later, McDonald who had been working on music with his longtime friend, Mike Chiavaro, enlisted Krasno to add some guitar to the mix and before they knew it, the trio had an album's worth of material and thus King Canyon was born.
