London-based Danish singer-songwriter Marie Dahlstrom returned with a new song “Clouds” on November 29, 2022.
It is her first music since the 2021 EP “Safe Place”.
This time, she teamed up with Liverpool-based R&B singer-songwriter Delleile Ankrah on the track.
The track was written by Marie Dahlstrom, Delleile Ankrah, and Dan Diggas who also produced it.
Delleile Ankrah said of the song, “This song is about when you’ve lost your path in life and you find it again. You get on the right path and you know you’re doing the right thing, the energy is good. That instinct and natural feeling. This song is crazy to me. Marie repping with the craziest vocals. So excited for this to come out and for everyone to hear her new album...”- Marie Dahlstrom continued, “Yes, it’s about feeling lost, but taking 5 mins to get back on your feet and overcome whatever is in front of you. To face the fear or obstacle. It’s about moving forward. Working with Delleile on this, was so natural and honest. It was an evening during the last part of the pandemic, and everything just came together so smooth and organically, with Dan Diggas on the production. We were all in the same room just catching that moment of creativity, and a few hours later, Clouds was basically what you hear on the record.”
