Caity Baser Premieres New Song “Kiss You” on BBC Radio 1
British singer-songwriter Caity Baser premiered a new song “Kiss You” along with a music video on BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Maia Beth.
The song is the follow-up to “X&Y”, which was released back in August.
The track was written by Alex Stacey, Caity Baser, Charlie Martin, James New, Joe Housley, Mark Ralph and Wayne Hector. Produced by The Nocturns.
Caity Baser told Maia Beth about the song, “That was a boy. And we were like are not seeing each other and then we kept going on does that little like late night drive. And when you're just like who in the car and then you just kind of stop and you're looking each other. So I can see I'm not gonna make the first move. No, thanks. I don't wanna do that. Anyway, we have this whole lovely day and we're like, listen to music or play in my music and then we didn't kiss and this was like the third day. It was terrible. We didn't care so I went home in a rage and made the song.”
- The accompanying video was directed by Callaway Breeze Hovan.
She said of the video, “The video is inspired by a date I actually had: I really did go on a drive, and the guy really just wouldn't fucking kiss me. It was such a fun day shooting the video, it's the same team I've worked with since the start…and they even made the bedroom look
exactly like mine! BIG HUGS N KISSES EXCITED TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK!”
