  • Pale Waves Covers Dove Cameron's “Boyfriend” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

  • British alt-rock band Pale Waves, consisting of Heather Baron-Gracie (vocals/rhythm guitar), Ciara Doran (drums), Hugo Silvani (guitar) and Charlie Wood (bass), appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform “Clean” and a cover of Dove Cameron's “Boyfriend”.

“Clean” is featured on their third studio album “Unwanted”, which was released back in August.
The track was written by Heather Baron-Gracie, Ciara Doran, Zakk Cervini, and Drew Fulk.
Heather Baron-Gracie told Apple music about the song, “Even though there's a lot of negative emotions on the record, I really wanted a moment or two where there was some kind of positivity or some kind of hopeful agenda. I wanted to write a cheesy love song. Like a song that they would play in a movie when the couple was falling in love and decide to run away together. I wanted to capture those moments that you feel when you're falling in love. There's nothing quite like that thrill of the very start of a relationship where those feelings are growing.”

“Boyfriend” was released by American singer-songwriter Dove Cameron in February 2022.
Dove Cameron teased the song on TikTok, where the video gained over 4.7 million likes. When the song went viral on TikTok, she officially released it.
The song reached No. 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 9 on the UK Singles chart.
On November 20th, she won New Artist of the Year at the 2022 American Music Awards.
