Dierks Bentley Releases New Song “High Note” featuring Billy Strings
- American country music singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley joined forces with to American bluegrass guitarist Billy Strings to release a new song “High Note”.
The track follows up the recently-released “Gold” as another taster for his upcoming tenth album, which is expected to be released in early 2023.
It was written by Charlie Worsham and Jim Beavers. Produced by Dierks Bentley, F. Reid Shippen, Jon Randall, Ross Copperman, and Brett Beavers.
Also the song features instrumentalists Jerry Douglas on dobro, Sam Bush on mandolin and, alongside Strings, fellow guest guitarist Bryan Sutton.
“Bryan Sutton first tipped me off to Billy Strings about seven years ago mentioning that the future of bluegrass was in good hands,” Dierks Bentley said. “I was totally blown away the first time I saw him. I've cut songs like these since my first record, and I knew I wanted to have him on this one, I'm such a huge fan. It was a lot of fun to have him, Jerry, Sam and Bryan all passing licks around – having them all on this record means a lot to me personally.”
