Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Chasing Kites Releases New Song “Shiver”
Bristol-based indie-rock band Chasing Kites, consisting of Matt Donnelly (vocals/guitar), James Hunt (drums), Liam Hope (guitar) and Nathan Price (bass), released a new song “Shiver” on November 11, 2022.
The song is the follow-up to “Slide”, which was released back in May.
The band recorded the song with Sam Winfield at Studio 91 Newbury.
Lyrically explores the feelings of frustration and heartbreak at play when looking in on a loved one’s dysfunctional relationship.
Matt Donnelly said of the song, “Shiver came together extremely quickly. I’d had the lyrics lying around for a very long time and felt they fit perfectly with the sonic side of the track when the melody was written. As we built on the skeleton of the song, our aim was to take us back into the realms of indie rock through powerful injections of energy in the choruses, while maintaining our commercial sound throughout.”- Previous Song “Slide”
