Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The Velvet Hands Announces New Album “Sucker Punch”, Shares New Song “Telephone Love”
London-based rock band The Velvet Hands, consisting of Toby Mitchell (vocals/guitar), Dan Able (guitar), Louis Mitchell (drums) and Sam Hilder (bass), announced their sophomore album “Sucker Punch” would be released on February 3, 2023 via Blood Records.
It is their first project in five years since the 2018 album “Party's Over”.
From the album, the band unveiled a new song “Telephone Love” on October 28, 2022.
It was written by Dan Able and Toby Mitchell. Produced by Jamx Jules and John Logan.
The Velvet Hands said of the song, “'Telephone Love' is about being stuck in a loop you can’t get out of. It’s the moment that you realise you may no longer be in control. It’s also the moment that you realise you don’t care if you’re not. Inspired musically by ‘80s new wave and ‘00s indie, we wanted to make the chorus sound like a party and the verse to sound like the morning after.”- source : Apple Music
