Thunder Jackson Releases New Song “God in Oklahoma” from New EP “Take Me Back”
American singer-songwriter Thunder Jackson has released a new song “God in Oklahoma”.
The song is featured on his latest 3-track EP “Take Me Back”, which was released on October 28, 2022.
It was written by Kyle Yeager, and Ryland Blackinton who also produced the track.
The track was born when he returned to his hometown of Oklahoma City from Los Angeles.
“I learned a lot during my time in L.A.,” Thunder Jackson said. “It's a great city, but there is nothing like experiencing the warmth and support of people who love and accept you no matter what. It has inspired me to make music that I feel more deeply connected to than I ever have before. I am so proud and lucky to be a guy from Oklahoma, and I hope this song reflects that.”
He continues, “It was such a pure and natural experience. I just wrote what was truly in my heart. Every time I play that song, I see the people and places of my hometown.”
- He shared on social media, “This song is a reminder of the beauty out there in the world. I was worried I would never find it again, but Oklahoma showed me what a beautiful moment this life really is. I have never felt so at peace with myself, with love, with starting over. Seems this dream we are in is a never ending search for yourself. What is more beautiful than that. I hope you can see the same beauty I found; in this song. With love, TJ x”
