lozeak Premieres New Song “XO” on BBC Radio 1
- London-based alt-rock-pop singer-songwriter lozeak premiered a new song “XO” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
Also, she was chosen Spotify RADAR: First Listen artist this week by Spotify.
The song is her fourth single of 2022, following “Hate Me Too”, “No Saving You” and “Alter Ego”.
The track was written by Jason Gill, Lauren Michelle Eakins, and Oskar Widen who also produced it.
lozeak told Jack Saunders about the song, “Basically 'XO' is about cheating, but I want us to do it in a different way. So I did it in the perspective of a cheater, kind of interesting. But it actually means knots and crosses. So basically playing someone like a game.”
- The story of lozeak starts in 2003 in Norwich with two music-obsessed parents blasting drum and bass awaiting the birth of their second child in an attempt to imbue rhythm and a flare for music into her DNA. It worked.
A childhood spent exploring the sounds of Luther Vandross, Madonna, and Amy Winehouse gave way to her teenage years when she transitioned to artists like Avril Lavigne, Kehlani and Radiohead - inspiring her grungy, rock-pop edge of today.
lozeak has already cultivated a huge online (over 611k followers and 48 million likes on TikTok alone) with her debut singles being streamed over 3.7 million times to date.
