Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ SG Lewis & Tove Lo Team Up for New Song “Call On Me”
London-based singer-songwriter SG Lewis joined forces with Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo to release a new song “Call On Me” on October 14, 2022.
The song is the fifth single off of his upcoming sophomore album “AudioLust & HigherLove”, which is set to be released January 27, 2022.
Also, the track appeared on Tove Lo's fifth studio album “Dirt Femme”, which was released October 14, 2022.
It was written by Tove Nilsson, Ludvig Söderberg, Samuel George Lewis, and Orlando Higginbottom. Produced by SG Lewis.
SG Lewis said, “Tove Lo is one of most brilliant and fearless pop artists we have, and I’ve been a fan of her music for years now. Working with her has been an absolute pleasure, and nearly as much fun as the nights out together 😂💓”
Tove Lo told Apple Music about the song, “I made this song with SG Lewis, who is a close friend. He's an emotional party person just like me. He actually wrote this song and then sent it to me, which isn’t something I do very often; it’s hard for me to find a way to make it mine. But I loved this song, so we agreed that I’d play with the lyrics. Initially, I rewrote them to make them more deep and complex, but it actually felt like that took away from the energy of the song. We decided to just let it be what it is, which is a big, fun dance anthem that all my gays are going to love.”- The new album is a double album and comprises 15-track, featuring guest appearances from Tove Lo, Ty Dolla $ign and Lucky Daye.
SG Lewis shared on social media, “It’s a double album which explores the differing ways in which we approach love and relationships, and the cyclical nature of those feelings. The bulk of the album was written across a series of intensive studio residencies in the height of the pandemic, with the help of some incredibly talented friends, and allowed me to explore myself as an artist in a way that I would never have dared before.” - source : Apple Music
