Calvin Harris Drops New Music Video for “Obsessed” featuring Charlie Puth & Shenseea
Scottish DJ Calvin Harris has dropped a new music video for “Obsessed”.
The song is included on his sixth studio album “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2”, which was released back in August.
The album reached No. 5 on the UK Albums chart.
He teamed up with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth and Jamaican singer-songwriter Shenseea on the track.
This marks the first time Calvin Harris, Charlie Puth and Shenseea have worked together.
The video is directed by Emil Nava, who’s helmed many previous clips for Calvin Harris.
Calvin Harris talked about Charlie Puth on BBD Radio 1, “It depends. I mean, for this one, he definitely changed his style. He went a bit more Michael McDonald. That was the reference for sure. And then he actually, he keeps telling me that the session changed this life because he went back and re-recorded like seven songs off his album that's coming out because the decided there was too much autotune on them. So he went back in - because I'm not a big fan of like the full on autotune on a voice like that - like it's okay on some rappers and stuff but not really on singing voice. So he went back changed his album, basically.”
He said how he met Charlie Puth, “I think it was just a DM. I think be tweeted about one my sings or something. And I was like 'thanks mate', I was just he's you know, the social media king, isn't he? But nahm U think he was just chatting about the clap sound in Feels or something like that. Okay, yeah, I like that. Nah, we got chatting and it was just is was one of them things - 'aww let's work together as some point... at some point' and then years passed and then finally we got it and I'm very glad we did.”
