Cassyette Premieres New Song “September Rain” on BBC Radio 1
British rock singer-songwriter Cassy Brooking, aka Cassyette premiered a new song “September Rain” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
She first performed the song at The K! Pit in East London in 2021.
The song will appear on her upcoming mixtape “Sad Girl”.
Cassyette told Clara Amfo about song, “I would honestly say I get such bad nerves. Yeah, I really do. And then when you try to reverse them, I started crying. I'm such a crybaby as well, I just cry over anything. Because it sounds different on the radio, when you hear it, oh, it is amazing.”
She continued, “I wrote this song last this time last year. And what is actually been like something I've been working on for a while and then I came up with the like full concept. Put it all together. It's kind of one of those songs that was like in parts, put it together. And I guess like the title it has come out next year to put it out. And weirdly it's been raining all week. So I feel like it's like exactly the right time in September right.”
The new mixtape is set to be released on November 10, 2022.
From the mixtape, “Sad Girl Summer” and “Dead Roses” were released back in May.
Before the release of the song, she appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to cover Harry Styles' “As it was”.
