St. Humain Releases New Song “Memento”
- Sydney-based singer-songwriter St. Humain released a new song “Memento” from his upcoming sophomore EP “METADRAMATIC”.
The song is the second single off of the EP, following “Sick Sad Love Song” released last December.
It originated as an idea from two friends in Indonesia: Songwriter Josh Palandi and producer Jon Mauliate.
Jumping straight onto the track, St. Humain developed a pop-inspired ode to the remnants of a relationship and those bittersweet memories you often keep when things are hazy.
St. Humain said of the song, “'Memento' came about from that core feeling of missing somebody, or longing for somebody at times. I wanted to express that emotion set against the dream land that is California. Imagine driving from state to state, trying to get back to where they are...”
- Also, he shared on social media, “this one's from a time gone by, a fond memory of what was posing as a rose-tinted movie on constant replay. we were a thing. & everything looked great in pictures... i mean, it was great for me. but was it great for you too? shoutout to my old & new friends who made this possible.”
The new EP is expected to be released later this year. It is his first project in three years since the 2019 debut EP “EMOTIONAL SAUNA”.
