Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Kaeley Jade Releases New Song “Beneath The Lies”
Edmonton-based singer-songwriter Kaeley Jade will release her highly-anticipated debut album “Turpentine” on September 23, 2022.
The album comprises 8-track, featuring guest appearance from Julian Taylo.
From the album, she unveiled the fourth single called “Beneath The Lies” on August 12, 2022, following “Poltergeist”, “Ego” and “Painless”.
The track was written by Kaeley Jade, Kaeley Jade Wiebe, Bradley J Simons, andor Lin and Brandon Unis.
“'Beneath the Lies' was borne of an incredibly, horrifically, painfully awkward encounter I had had with an ex-partner of mine,” Kaeley Jade said of the song. “Afterwards, I began to think a lot about the masks that people wear, the walls that are built, and the little white lies that get told to avoid any sort of vulnerability or confrontation.”
A multidisciplinary artist, Kaeley Jade recently joined forces with playwright Trevor Schmidt at Northern Light Theatre to write the critically acclaimed musical Two-Headed / Half-Hearted, which saw its worldwide premiere in April 2022.- Photo by Mollie Laura
