Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo premiered a new song “2 Die 4” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo on July 27, 2022.
The song is third single off of her upcoming fifth studio album “Dirt Femme”, following “No One Dies From Love” and “True Romance”.
It is a remake of American instrumental band Hot Butter's 1972 song“ Popcorn”.
The track was written by Oscar Gorres, Gershon Kingsley and Tove Nilsson. Produced by OZGO.
Tove Lo said of the song, “This is my new song to '2 Die 4'. Some of you might recognize parts of it it's a bit of a remake Hot Butter song 'Popcorn' from way back and I hope you enjoy it. It is the perfect song to play for someone who needs a bit of pick me up and you take them out dancing and have a little makeups, enjoy!”
The accompanying music video was directed by Kenny Laubbacher.
She shared on social media, “I wanted to make something nostalgic, sexy and iconic. Thank you Oscar Görres for bringing this idea to life in full. The character for this scene is wonder woman with big dick energy and I just love it.”
The new album is set be released on October 14, 2022 via Pretty Swede Records. It is her first album as an independent artist.- source : BBC Radio 1
