P!nk Returns With New Song “Irrelevant”
American singer-songwriter Alecia Beth Moore, aka P!nk returned with a new song “Irrelevant”.
The song is her first music since the 2021 single “All I Know So Far”, which appeared on the documentary of the same name and her live retrospective album “All I Know So Far: Setlist”.
It was written by P!nk, and Ian Fitchuk, who also produced the track.
When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Pink shared on social media, “[I]f you believe the government belongs in a woman's uterus…FUCK RIGHT OFF.” The song is a protest anthem in response to the current social climate.
P!nk said, “As a woman with an opinion and the fearlessness to voice that opinion, it gets very tiring when the only retort is to tell me how irrelevant I am. I am relevant because I exist, and because I am a human being. No one is irrelevant. And no one can take away my voice.”
With a focus on voter's advocacy, P!nk announced that proceeds from “Irrelevant” will go to the organization “When We All Vote”, nonpartisan voting initiative created by former First Lady Michelle Obama.- eHGuWDzQpcM
