Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Lady A Releases New Song “Summer State Of Mind”
American country music group Lady A (formerly known as Lady Antebellum), consisting of Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley, released a new song “Summer State Of Mind” on June 21, 2022.
The song is their first music since the 2021 album “What a Song Can Do”.
It was written by Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott, Sam Ellis and Laura Veltz. Produced by Sam Ellis.
“When we got together and wrote this song a few months ago it almost started writing itself,” Hillary Scott said of the song. “We were all looking ahead to the warmer months and those easygoing moments that we enjoy most. When we had a chance to perform the song for the first time during CMA Fest, the fans really got in the spirit – it was the perfect way to kick off the summer.”
They have already filmed a music video for the song, which will be premiered on June 24, 2022.- Lady A embarks on Request Line Tour, launching with back-to-back nights at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on August 13, 2022.
The show will include the opportunity to interact with the band in real time to directly request songs. Fans will be an interactive part of the show itself, using a special phone number, 615-882-1975, to request their favorite Lady A songs.
A portion of the ticket sales will go towards LadyAID, the group's philanthropic fund which supports multiple initiatives around the world.
“We've been touring for over fifteen years and have played some of the biggest venues in the world but there's something truly special about being close to your audience and having the flexibility to include the fans in how the show goes,” Dave Haywood said. “During our Vegas residency our favorite moments allowed the three of us to talk with the fans and play what they wanted to hear.
