London-based singer-songwriter Cat Burns released a new remix of “go” on June 10, 2022.
This time, she teamed up with British singer-songwriter Sam Smith on the track.
She has released some remixes of “go” with other artists, including Loski, Russ Millions, and Sam Fischer, so far.
The original version of the song is included her latest EP “emotionally unavailable”, which was released in May.
Cat Burns said of the collaboration with Sam Smith, “What an honour and pleasure it was to work with Sam! They were super lovely and added an extra level of special to the song which is clear to hear!”
“I came across Cat's music earlier this year and I was immediately moved and refreshed by her honesty, incredible technique and delivery as a vocalist.” said Sam Smith. “I am so thankful to be a very small part of this special song and moment. Cat is a gift to us all.”
Cat Burns said of the song, “'go' is about a breakup a close friend of mine went through a couple of years ago. The song is about being betrayed and finally finding out that the person who should love you the most breaks your trust and completely ruins the relationship. It's not a mean or ill-wishing song; it's a song about realisation but also disbelief at the same time.”-
