BANKS Releases New Song “I Still Love You”
American singer-songwriter BANKS released a new song “I Still Love You” from her upcoming fourth studio album “Serpentina” on March 22, 2022.
The song is the fourth single off of the album, following “The Devil”, “Skinnydipped” and “Holding Back”.
It was written by Jillian Banks. Produced by BANKS, Orlando Higginbottom and Shlohmo.
“I've held this song tight for over six years. It felt like a secret I wanted to keep just for myself. But I finally feel not only ready but so excited to share this with the world,” BANKS explained of the song. “It's about loving someone you don't talk to anymore. Missing the little things about them. Even the things you thought you hate. I hope you feel like you are sitting next to me when you listen. And I hope it's as special to those who hear it as it is to me.”- The accompanying music video was directed by BANKS and James Mountford.
She told ELLE Magazine of the video, “It feels so vulnerable and stripped back and raw, and I think it shows me in a different light. I think it just worked out perfectly like that. I called my friend, James Mountford, who I directed with, last-minute and was like, “Do you wanna shoot a video this weekend?” It was that chill. And I was like, I just want it to be bedroom-y and real and raw. … And we just got a studio. I got this little twin bed on Amazon and I just put some pillows on it, sat on it, and sang to the camera [about] three times.”
The new album comprises 13-track, featuring guest appearance from Samoht. It is set to be released on April 8, 2022. - source : Apple Music
