Louis The Child Releases New Song “Blow The Roof” with Kasbo & EVAN GIIA
Chicago-based DJ duo Louis The Child teamed up with Swedish DJ Kasbo and Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter EVAN GIIA to release a new song “Blow The Roof” along with a music video.
The song is the duo's first single since the 2021 EP “Euphoria”.
It was written by Freddy Kennett, Robby Hauldren, Evan Giarrusso, Carl Garsbo and Evalyn Colleen. Produced by KASBO and Louis The Child.
The accompanying video was directed by Sammy McEntire.
Louis The Child said of the song, “We produced 'Blow The Roof' with Kasbo, and wrote / sang the chorus in that session. We really liked the idea of 'blow the roof,' to let go, and let the energy come through—to follow your dreams! A couple weeks later, we wrote the rest of the song with EVAN GIIA and Asia Whiteacre. This is my favorite song of ours right now, and we're really happy with the video.”- Louis The Child shared on social media, “We made the beat with Kasbo a few months ago at Freddy's house and started with some old drum loops Kasbo had recently found. He played the guitar line that you hear in the intro of the song and then we had him play a bunch of chords on the guitar that we loaded into a sampler and started chopping up. We wanted the drop to have this big anthemic feeling, something that would feel amazing at a festival or in your headphones while you snowboard. We laid down the bass line and Kasbo chopped up some vocals and the drop felt awesome. Freddy wrote and recorded the chorus and we left that day knowing we had something that felt special. A few weeks later we got together with EVAN GIIA and Asia Whiteacre and wrote the rest of the song that day. The song is about believing in yourself and following your dreams. We hope it soundtracks moments that make you feel alive and help you achieve anything you want to do.”
