  • Lola Young Premieres New Song “So Sorry” on BBC Radio 1

  • British singer-songwriter Lola Young premiered a new song “So Sorry” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song follows up “Fake”, which was released last September.
It was written by Lola Young and Paul Epworth, who also produced the track.
Lola Young shared on social media, “This song shows a hell of a honesty and pain but also theres always strength in vulnerability.. ive had to come to terms with the fact to never mistake passion with toxicity but also the fact that jealousy can sometimes be healthy as long as you self reflect and communicate. It can show how much u love someone. I love u lot.. and i hope u like this one. Im gassed. Its slightly more poppy than usual, and that makes me nervous but fuck it. Why not.”
The song is pop sound unlike her previous songs. She told Clara Amfo, “I'm nervous about this to honest, I mean, popularizing those who satisfied to make sure things I'm quite out about I'm really tired. I think it's just like the guy that I know don't like this kind of tempo before. I'm just really excited about how this one's gonna be received. Obviously being up and coming and stuff like, this is kind of so like a bit of a journey to get there. But hopefully this one pushes me to the next point.”
  • She continued, “I like it was a bit nerve wracking, because obviously I thought to myself, should I be going this passionate woman, but the interesting thing about is I wanted to flip thing on its head, because a lot of people like to my ex and being right screw you to sign, maybe man who have screwed them over when he was in general or not. I wanted to do a twist, so like a woman that is a bit of like toxic and coming forward, and being like having that my time shining because I'm usually quite jealous of relationships and such. So I wrote to shed some light on that sorry.”
