Blushing Drops New Music Video for “The Fires”
American alt-pop band Blushing, consisting of Michelle Soto (guitar/vocals), Jacob Soto (drums), Christina Carmona (vocals/bass), and Noe Carmona (guitar), has dropped a new music video for “The Fires”.
The song was released on January 12, 2022 from their upcoming sophomore album “Possessions”.
“The Fires” was wrapped up the mixing and mastering process during a major power crisis in Texas in February 2021.
Michelle Soto explained of the song, “We knew Mark could bring a special element to 'The Fires'. However, just as the mixing and mastering process was wrapping up in February 2021 we lost all power and water for over a week due to a freak blizzard that devastated much of Texas. It caused a most unexpected delay in our ability to communicate back and forth with Mark about the track, who expressed concern for the band’s well being as news of the storm reached all the way to the UK.”
He continued, “Eventually the snow melted, lights and internet returned and what we received in the final mix was a punchy, glimmering track, a perfect balance to the dark, brooding tone of the song.”
The album comprises 12-track, featuring guest appearance from Miki Berenyi, produced by Elliott Frazier, and mastered by Mark Gardener.
