American country music singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert has dropped a new music video for “If I Was a Cowboy”.
The song was released last October as the lead single off of her upcoming eighth studio album.
It was written by Miranda Lambert and Jesse Frasure.
Miranda Lambert said of the song, “I wrote this song with my new friend, Jesse Frasure. We met doing the remix of 'Tequila Does' and he and I just got together one afternoon for a write and this is what came out of it. It's funny, he's a Detroit boy and I'm an East Texan, but somehow we wrote a song about the Wild West together.”
The video was directed by Trey Fanjoy, who filmed in a west town in Texas.
“This song has references to all of my favorite westerns, and a cowboy lifestyle,” she said in a release. “We shot this video in a little old west town in Texas with real cowboys!”- Photo by Acacia Evans
