British singer-songwriter Zak Abel released a cover of “Good Times” on January 7, 2022.
The original version of the song was released by American R&B band Chic from their third studio album “Risqué” in 1979.
It was written by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards.
Zak Abel's version features his good friend Sheku Kenneh Mason on the cello, he showcased calm version of the song. Produced by Mike Kintish.
Says Zak Abel of the song, “I recorded this song when there were first indications that the lockdowns were going to be lifted and that we would be able to be with friends and family again and do all the things we could missed such as going to live shows. I wanted to perform the song in a quieter version to emphasize how wonderful it felt to have good times again after we all had such a dark time.”- Photo by AMBO
