  • Travis Scott Releases Two New Songs “ESCAPE PLAN” and “MAFIA”

  • American rapper Travis Scott released two new songs “ESCAPE PLAN” and “MAFIA” on November 5, 2021.

Both songs will appear on his upcoming fourth studio album “Utopia”.
The album follows up his 2018 third studio album “Astroworld”, and his 2019 compilation album “JackBoys”.
“ESCAPE PLAN” was written by OZ, Nik D and Travis Scott. The accompanying music video was directed by Travis Scott, Eliel Ford and White Trash Tyler.
“MAFIA” was written by Jahaan Sweet, Boi-1da, J. Cole and Travis Scott.
After releasing two songs, he took place his third-annual Astroworld Festival at NRG Park in Houston, Texas.
Originally, the festival was supposed to be held for two days, November 5th and 6th.
But on Friday night at the festival, the crowd began to compress toward the front of the stage and became causing panic and chaos.
At least eight people are dead, including two teenagers and 25 people hospitalized. The festival ended early Friday night and has been canceled for Saturday.
  • “I'm absolutely devastated by what took place last night,” Travis Scott said in a statement on Twitter. “My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department and NRG Park for their immediate response and support. Love You All.”
Travis Scott's girlfriend Kylie Jenner also attended the festival. “Travis and I are broken and devastated," she said in a statement on Saturday evening. "My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in anyway [sic] by yesterday's events. And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community.”
She added, “I want to make it clear we weren't aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing.”
