  • Don Broco Releases New Album “Amazing Things”: Streaming

  • British rock band Don Broco, consisting of Rob Damiani (lead vocals), Simon Delaney (guitar), Matt Donnelly (drums) and Tom Doyle (bass), released their fourth studio album “Amazing Things” on October 22, 2021 vis SharpTone Records.
It is their first LP in three years. Originally, the album was supposed to be released on September 17, but the band had to reschedule the release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The album comprises12-track, including preceding singles "Manchester Super Reds No.1 Fan”, “Gumshield”, “One True Prince”, “Uber” and “Endorphins”. Produced by Jason Perry and Dan Lancaster.
The band started writing the album before the pandemic hit. They had three months to write a new album and began recording in December 2020.
When the band finished recording a half of the album, the pandemic hit and lockdown.
Frontman Rob Damiani told Alternative Press, “Overall, for us as a band, the lockdown gave us that chance to focus, gave us something productive to do, gave us purpose in our lives. As a band, we're just super grateful.”
  • In addition to heavy-metal sound, the band recorded different genres essences to album.
He said, “We listen to rock, [but] I'd say all of us listen to just as much pop and hip-hop and electronic music.”
He continued, “On this record, we wanted to take things and make it way more clunky and weird. Even listening to a lot of modern hip-hop, they just really don't give a fuck. They're in the studio. There's clearly two or three beats that they're vibing off, and they're not the same song, but they end up being the same song because it just feels good, and it doesn't make sense. If it feels good, you run with it. We wanted to bring that excitement back into rock music and do that on the album, too.”
