PinkPantheress Premieres New Song “I must apologise” on BBC Radio 1
- London-based singer-songwriter PinkPantheress premiered a new song “I must apologise” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
Earlier this month, she announced her upcoming debut mixtape “To Hell with It” would be released on October 15, 2021 via Parlophone and Elektra Records.
The new song is the second single off of the mixtape, following “Just for me”.
It was written by Crystal Waters, Neal Conway, PinkPantheress and Oscar Scheller, who also produced the track.
PinkPantheress told Clara Amfo about the song, “This came to me like a while ago as to like three months and I was basically. I don't do that many produce session just because I'm, I like to stay in my house, and I'm doing everything myself. I'm kind of a homebody. But sometimes I do sessions and one of my favorite pieces I like to work with is Oscar Scheller. And he kind of just did his thing with it and I was like, Yo, this is kind of sick, I was kind of edge away from samples, kind of like a cat dance on piano kind of kind of give away box. That one kind of grabbed it grabbed me by the collar and from the back and I was like yo, this is stupid.”
She said of the mixtape, “There are a few surprises on there for some people that listen to me, and enjoy the kind of more Junglee like fast tempo tracks, there's a few curveballs and I feel like I've tried to go a bit slower on some of them trying to get into different bags.”
