Virginia To Vegas Teams Up With MacKenzie Porter for New Song “this sucks.”
Canadian singer-songwriter Derik John Baker, aka Virginia To Vegas teamed up with Canadian country music singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter to release a new song “this sucks.” along with a music video.
This marks the first collaboration between Virginia To Vegas and MacKenzie Porter.
The track was written by Derik John Baker, MacKenzie Porter, Mike Wise, nathan ferraro and Elizabeth Lowell Boland. Produced by Mike Wise and Derik John Baker.
Virginia To Vegas said of the song, “I remember driving from my house to the grocery store and hearing MacKenzie's song on the radio. At that moment I just knew it would be perfect to have her join me as a featured artist on the track.”
He continued, “'this sucks.' is about running into an ex at a party with their plus one and what that does to you. You had love for this person in the past, so you want to be happy for them. In that moment though, all you can say to yourself is 'wow, this really sucks right now.'”
