- American singer-songwriter Amber Mark premiered a new song “Foreign Things” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Charli XCX.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming debut album, following “Competition” and “Worth It”.
It was written by Amber Mark, Kendrick Nicholls, Sherwyn Nicholls, Andrew Haas, Ian Franzino, Jason Kellner and Julian Bunetta. Produced by Two Fresh Beats, Afterhrs and Julian Bunetta.
The accompanying music video was directed by Amber Mark herself and Satya Zoa.
Amber Mark told Charli XCX about the song, “This song was came out of a very rare occasion for me. There's two producers that I trust, normally I like to just produce on my own and like be by myself and do these things but I'm one of these guys was like I have this great idea for us to like me and a really close group of friends, friends of mine, like let's just go away and we'll do like a whole writing thing together for a week and that is like my worst nightmare. Like, I'm not doing that at all. He was like just trust me on this one. If nothing works out, it's fine we'll, we'll just end up having a vacation together and like don't no stress like, no pressure, does it all right, you're saying this, I really trust you, let's do this, and it ended up being like the most amazing experience for me, probably the best like music came out of it for me with, you know, working with other people I was really, I got almost emotional. After the because how I'd never really experienced that with other writing with other people so boring things was one of those songs where you know it was right.”
