Machine Gun Kelly Releases New Song “papercuts” featuring Travis Barker
- Earlier this week, American singer-songwriter Machine Gun Kelly announced that his next album is called “Born with Horns”.
From the album, he unveiled the first taste “papercuts” along with a music video.
He teamed up with Travis Barker of blink-182 again on the track and the album.
Both artists showed off their matching “Born with Horns” tattoos on their arms earlier this week on Instagram with caption, "'Born with horns' the album. we're back for round two…"
It was written by Dark Waves, Travis Barker and Machine Gun Kelly. Produced by Dark Waves and Travis Barker.
The video was directed by Cole Bennett. In the clip, Machine Gun Kelly shows many hairstyles, including a shaved head and another with a black wig.
- Machine Gun Kelly told Rolling Stone of working with Travis Barker, “Travis showed me the art of not overthinking. There were times I'd walk in, we would plug in instruments, and whatever came out while we were playing would be the song. But then he also showed me that you can completely scrap a whole song, right when you think it's done, and do it over until it becomes everything it should be. He would answer the phone at 5 a.m. if I called. The studio sessions became cathartic. There was no censorship. He encouraged the raw emotion to come out.”
