Ezra Jordan Releases New Song “dollarama”
Canadian singer-songwriter Ezra Jordan released a new song “dollarama” on August 4, 2021.
The song will appear on his upcoming sophomore EP, which is expected to be released in 2021.
It was written by Ezra Jordan and produced by Liam Russell.
He has already filmed a music video, which will be premiered on August 9th. Directed by Cameron Saville.
The music video is the first of a 4 part short film about what it feels like to be truly alone, and what you find when you get there. This chapter is about a women who's feelings aren't reciprocated by her best friend and the emotional rollercoaster of loneliness after rejection that we all can connect with.
“'dollarama' was inspired by an intense period of self-reflection,” Ezra Jordan said of the song. “The pandemic had derailed significant life plans to the point where I seriously contemplated giving up on my music career. It's about looking at where I came from, the reasons I am who I am, and making the tough decisions about whether or not those things still align with who I want to be as a person.”
He continued, “Icarus with dollarama wings refers to a newfound perspective I gained on ridding my life of the cheap things that don't bring real happiness, value, or quality. This is a key theme of my forthcoming sophomore EP about honesty and being unapologetically true to myself.”- Photo by Ryan Brough
