Highasakite Premieres New Song “Under The Sun”
- Norway alt-pop duo Highasakite announced their mini album “The Bare Romantic’ Part 2” will be released on February 7th.
From the mini album, the duo premiered a new song “Under The Sun” on January 24th via Propeller Recordings.
Originally the song was written for a one-off live performance on a Norwegian National TV show raising money for Flyktninghjelpen (The Norwegian Refugee Council),
Also, the track is featured in the end credits of Norwegian movie “Tunellen”, which had its debut at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
The duo said of the song, “At the time the media was filled with news about the Syrian refugees. There was such a contrast in how the public reacted to the images of those people in need. While some people answered with plain hate and rejection, other people put their life on hold to help them out.”
The duo had worked with former Jaga Jazzist and Puma’s guitarist Stian Westerhus, traditional and fiddle composer Sarah-Jane Summers on the mini album.
The duo released the third EP “The Bare Romantic, Part 1” last October. The mini album is sequel to the EP.
