Winona Oak Releases Debut EP “CLOSURE”: Streaming
- Swedish singer-songwriter Winona Oak released her debut EP “CLOSURE” on January 10th.
From the EP, the music video for “Control” was premiered on the same day, directed by Andreas Öhman.
The EP comprises of 6-track, she had started writing the songs since 2015. “This is a collection of personal songs that I wrote over the past 5 years,” she posted to social mead. “They’re documenting painful moments, a rollercoaster of emotions - all the good, the bad and the craziness in between. It’s been a bumpy road towards self love and growth. I might never get all the answers that I was looking for but I’ve learned to accept that. To forgive myself and the process.
I’m scared but also so damn excited to share these songs with you guys, they mean a lot to me. I hope you’ll blast them in your car and find some comfort in them when you need to cry your heart out.”
- She said of the video for “Control”, “‘Control’ is about meeting someone that makes you weak in your knees and never knowing how they actually feel about you. You make risky decisions, act irrationally and tolerate things you normally wouldn’t. You’re feeling nervous, insecure and are constantly afraid that they are gonna leave you. Oh and this is when you learn – the difference between love and obsession. For the video we wanted to target this hopeless feeling with a twisted sense of humor.”
