Halsey Unveils New Song “Clementine” on Her Birthday
American singer-songwriter Halsey celebrated her 25th birthday Sunday (September 29) with the surprise release of the new music video for “Clementine” from her upcoming album “Manic”.
The video features her younger brother Sevian Frangipane and directed by Dani Vitale and Anton Tammi. The track was co-written and produced by John Cunningham.
The song title might be influenced from 2004 film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. Back in June, She said in an interview with Rolling Stone, the first film she fell in love with was “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, and that she “basically built [her] entire personality off of Clementine, Kate Winslet’s character.”
The new album is set to be on January 17, 2020. It is her first album since 2017 “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom”.
She told Rolling Stone about the album. “The album is a sampling of hip-hop, rock, country, fucking everything — because it’s so manic,” she explained. “It’s soooooo manic. It’s literally just, like, whatever the fuck I felt like making; there was no reason I couldn’t make it.”- 2hlT8CqZ2pA
