  • Bishop Briggs Performs “Tattooed On My Heart” & “Champion” at Vevo Live Performance

  • Last week, British singer-songwriter Bishop Briggs performed her latest song “Champion” on The Late Late Show With James Corden.
Followed by, she appeared on Vevo Live Performance. This time, she performed “Tattooed On My Heart” and “Champion” with acoustic.
Both songs were released back in July and the music videos for the songs consist of 2 parts of the same story.
She said of “Tattooed On My Heart”, “I have lots of tattoos – too many to count. I have tattoos that remind me of him or tattoos we got together, but I truly don’t regret any of them. Seeing them on my body brings back countless memories and lessons. They’re reminders of my being.
But the one tattoo that feels different than all of the ones on the outside is the one sitting on my heart. And this thought process is where my new song, “Tattooed on My Heart,” was born. I’m still waiting for the day that it’ll begin to dissolve. But for now, I’ll just sing about it.”

She explained about “Champion”, “Champion is a song that I wrote when my self-esteem was at an all-time low. As a woman, I feel like I have been socially trained to be so many things at once – sexy yet sweet, confident yet humble, independent yet submissive, smart but not too smart – the list is never-ending. Writing this song helped me look at the question – what if I could just be myself? What if there was a world where my vulnerability was what made me powerful? What if there was a day I could proudly, without hesitation, look in the mirror and say ‘I am a champion,’ purely because I’m choosing to be myself? Champion is about accepting yourself today, as you are.”
