Katy Perry worked with Charlie Puth, Johan Carlsson and Jacob Kasher for a new song “Small Talk”.
The song was released on August 9th, which is her third single of 2019, following "365" with Zedd and "Never Really Over".
The accompanying lyric video was directed by Tim Fox. In the clips, a couple is seen in bed and also in an office setting that depict strained interactions.
She began teasing the new song via her Instagram this week.
Recently she appeared on Taylor Swift's music video for “You Need to Calm Down”. “[Katy] and I have really been on good terms for a while,” Taylor Swift said in an interview with Capital FM. “She sent me a really nice note and an olive branch—like an actual olive branch—to my tour when it started, the Reputation Stadium Tour, a while ago.
