Lana Del Rey Covers Donovan’s “Season of the Witch” for Guillermo del Toro’s “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”
A horror film “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” releases on August 9, directed by André Øvredal, starring Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, and Lorraine Toussaint.
American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey covered Donovan’s “Season of the Witch” for the film.
The original track was released by Donovan in September 1966, which appeared on his third album “Sunshine Superman”.
“I have admired Lana’s music for a while now and felt in my gut that she would run with ‘Season of the Witch’ — that she would use her alchemy to transform it,” a film producer Guillermo del Toro remarked in a press statement. “She is a great artist and has been an amazing partner with us in this adventure. It is an honor for me to have met her.”
Recently, Lana Del Rey has shared “Looking For America” in response to the recent shootings in El Paso and Dayton.
Also, she has a new song in the upcoming Charlie’s Angels sequel. And her 6th studio album “Norman Fucking Rockwell” is set to be released on August 30th.- oRrPuIdSZyo
