Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Charlotte Lawrence Premieres New Song “Why Do You Love Me”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Charlotte Lawrence made her Atlantic and Gold Tooth Records debut with a new song “Why Do You Love Me”.
She co-wrote the song with her boyfriend Charlie Puth. Also, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic co-wrote it. Produced by Andrew Watt, Louis Bell and Charlie Puth. The song is the follow-up to “Stole Your Car”, which was released last September.
The accompanying music video was directed by Alasdair McLellan.
"I write easier about sad emotions, I think it's so cool to have an upbeat song with dark lyrics,” Charlotte Lawrence said. “If you tap into an emotion then you can write a whole story. No matter what you're going through it's important to take risks with music. I never want to play it safe.”
